Part of my role as a professional baby photographer is to be versatile with the use of props. Even something as simple as a snuggly baby blanket can be used in many ways to get a different look. Blankets can be particularly handy when photographing newborns. They make the baby feel safe and comfortable whilst giving the structure and support needed to hold a pose. Many of my clients receive new hand-knitted blankets or precious heirlooms when their baby is born, so it’s always lovely to be able to include them in the photos.
