As a baby photographer, I use a mixture of black and white and colour shots. But there’s a certain element to monochrome photographs that gives them such a timeless feel. The shades of grey can really bring out a baby’s features in a special way. Skin shows up so well against the inky blackness. There’s also a certain drama to the images with a deep, dark background. They look great as pieces of art hung on the wall at home.
