My dearest, loveliest daughter is 5 today!

She is my sunshine and my rain, my life and the whole world to me.

She makes me smile and realise how lucky I am to have her, she knows how to drive me crazy equally well as she knows how to make me happy.

She has a big and generous heart and equally well she knows perfectly how to manipulate and rule the world.

She loves her drawings and her ballet.

She loves her goodnight kisses, a million kisses.

She is my everything.

Today my little boy started Reception class and will be in school all day, every day.

No more lunches, afternoon games and cuddles with mummy.

When did he grow? When did they both grow?

I kissed him, said that I love him, wished him a good day and he ran in with a huge smile on his face without even turning back.

So grown up, so independent. Just like his big (but still very little) sister.

I smiled to them and felt that burning, swelling ache right inside me where their hearts start beating first.
